About vertexD
Transformation starts with understanding.
vertexD is a boutique management consulting firm specializing in human-centered transformation. We help organizations understand
how work actually flows—across people, processes, and systems—before deciding what to automate, redesign, or protect.
vertexD is founder-led. You'll work directly with our founder, who brings 20+ years of transformation experience from Deloitte
Consulting, Fidelity Investments, and Citizens Bank — and throughout every engagement, not handed off to a project team. That
continuity is what makes the work better.
We work with Fortune 500 clients across healthcare, financial services, and complex operations.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior Process Consultant to join high-impact engagements with global enterprise clients. You'll work
directly with our founder to map complex processes, conduct stakeholder interviews across geographies, and identify opportunities for
automation and redesign.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates clearly with global stakeholders, and can translate messy
operational realities into structured, actionable insights for senior leaders. Starting as a contract role (20-30 hours/week), with potential
for extension and full-time based on fit and pipeline.
What You'll Do
• Conduct stakeholder interviews across functions and geographies (US and EU)
• Document current-state processes using journey maps, swimlanes, and BPMN notation
• Identify pain points, inefficiencies, handoff failures, and automation opportunities
• Develop executive presentations and client-ready slide decks
• Synthesize findings into clear, executive-ready documentation and narratives
• Support workshop design and facilitation with client stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with the engagement lead on deliverables and client communication
What We're Looking For
• 5-10 years of experience in management consulting, process improvement, business analysis, or operations excellence
• Experience in pharma, life sciences, or healthcare (required)
• Strong interviewing and active listening skills—you know how to elicit how work actually happens
• Fluency in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro) and notation standards (BPMN, swimlanes)
• Strong PowerPoint skills—able to build clear, professional, executive-ready presentations
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; you'll interact directly with global clients
• Comfort with ambiguity—you can structure messy problems without waiting for perfect direction
• Self-directed and reliable; small team environment where ownership matters
• Occasional EU (CET) time zone availability for client meetings (not a standing requirement)
Nice to Have
• Big 4 or top-tier consulting background
• Direct experience with QMS, GxP, CAPA, deviation management, or batch records
• FDA or EMA audit/compliance experience
• Exposure to intelligent automation, RPA, or process mining tools (Celonis, UiPath, Blue Prism)
What We Offer
• Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
• Flexible, remote-first role with travel to client sites as needed
• Direct exposure to Fortune 500 clients and high-impact transformation work
• Opportunity to work closely with an experienced transformation leader
• Potential path to full-time based on fit and engagement pipeline
