About the Work

vertexD is a boutique consulting firm specializing in human-centered transformation. We help organizations design processes and systems that actually work for the people who use them.

We're growing our team to support client work in life sciences and pharma. We need someone who can be in the room, capture what matters, and turn complexity into clarity.

What You'll Do

• Take notes during interviews and observations (capture what matters, not everything)

• Build process maps and visualizations that make complex workflows clear

• Turn rough notes into polished deliverables (decks, diagrams, reports)

• Help coordinate logistics — scheduling interviews, organizing materials

• Travel to client site for key working sessions

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus

• Sharp note-taking — you know what's signal vs. noise

• Strong visualization skills — process maps, flows, diagrams that look professional

• Comfortable with tools like Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, or similar

• Clear, clean writing — no jargon, no fluff

• Reliable and organized — you own tasks and they come back done

• Professional demeanor — comfortable in client settings

Nice to Have

• Experience in consulting, professional services, or client-facing work

• Exposure to pharma, life sciences, or manufacturing environments

Engagement Details

• Type: Contract (2 months) to hire

• Hours: 15-20 hrs/week

• Location: Remote; may require travel to client site ~20% of the time (expenses covered)
