Business Analyst Intern (Paid)

Remote

ABOUT VERTEXD

Transformation starts with understanding.

vertexD is a boutique management consulting firm specializing in human-centered transformation. We

help organizations understand how work actually flows—across people, processes, and systems—

before deciding what to automate, redesign, or protect.

vertexD is founder-led. You’ll work directly with our founder, who brings 20+ years of transformation

experience from Deloitte Consulting, Fidelity Investments, and Citizens Bank—and throughout every

engagement, not handed off to a project team. That continuity is what makes the work better.

We work with Fortune 500 clients across pharmaceuticals, healthcare, financial services, and complex

operations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a curious, organized Business Analyst Intern to support active client engagements

and internal operations. This is a real working internship—you will be inside live consulting work, not

observing it. You’ll build decks that go to clients, manage Miro boards used in working sessions, and

keep the logistics running so the senior team can focus on delivery.

Our interns are treated as integral members of the team. You’ll be assigned a coach who will mentor

you throughout the engagement, give you feedback, and help you build skills that translate directly into

a consulting or business career. If you want to learn how transformation work actually happens—not

the textbook version—this is the right place.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build and refine PowerPoint decks for client engagements—clear, professional, executive-ready

• Set up and manage Miro boards for working sessions—organizing content, maintaining structure,

and keeping boards clean as conversations move fast

• Schedule and coordinate meetings across stakeholders and time zones—send invites, agendas,

and follow-ups

• Take notes during working sessions and turn them into clean, organized summaries

• Conduct research—industry trends, competitive landscape, client context—and synthesize

findings into usable briefs

• Support the development of journey/process maps, process visualizations, and client-ready

diagrams

• Help maintain project trackers, shared folders, and version control across active engagements

• Support business development activities as needed—research, prep materials, and follow-up

tracking

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or recently graduated; fields such as

Business, Communications, Engineering, or Liberal Arts all welcome

• Strong PowerPoint skills—you know how to build a clean, structured deck, not just fill in a

template

• Comfortable with Miro—you’ll be using it in live client sessions

• Organized and reliable—you take a task and it comes back done, on time, without follow-up

• Clear, concise writer—no jargon, no fluff

• Strong research skills—you can find what matters quickly and summarize it usefully

• Intellectually curious and self-directed—you ask good questions and don’t wait to be told what to

do next

• Professional demeanor—you may interact with senior client stakeholders

• Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time

Nice to Have

• Exposure to design thinking, human-centered design, or journey mapping

• Experience with Lucidchart, Visio, or similar diagramming tools

• Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Smartsheet, Monday)

• Any prior internship or work experience in consulting, professional services, or client-facing roles

WHAT WE OFFER

• Paid internship—competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience

• Direct exposure to live Fortune 500 client engagements—real work, real clients, real deliverables

• Dedicated coach and mentor throughout your internship

• Hands-on experience with consulting tools and methodologies—Miro, journey mapping, process

visualization, executive storytelling

• Fully remote and flexible schedule

• Strong recommendation letter for outstanding performers
